Zero Racial Disparities in Infant Mortality by 2033

Did you know that 8 out of 10 sleep-related deaths are due to unsafe sleep conditions? These deaths could be prevented – which is why building awareness and understanding of safe sleep practices is so important.

We’ve created the FLOURISH Safe Sleep Recognition program to recognize those hospitals, nonprofits and other organizations who are promoting safe sleep practices in our region. Organizations can complete the Safe Sleep Recognition evaluation form to describe that organization’s safe sleep policy, staff training programs and community outreach activities.

We have also created a Safe Sleep Recognition toolkit to help organizations address the requirements for FLOURISH’s Safe Sleep Recognition program. These materials are adapted from trusted sources, including the Cribs for Kids® National Infant Safe Sleep Hospital Certification program, Infant Loss Resources, and the National Institute of Health.
